Clinton Woods weighed in exactly on the 175lbs mark in Florida on Friday in a ceremony gate-crashed by dozens of vocal Sheffield fans.

Chanting football-style songs and ridiculing Antonio Tarver and his camp, the visiting supporters gave smiling Woods a big psychological boost ahead of their clash on Saturday night.

He and Tarver then stood face to face at the weigh-in trading their own hostile sentiments before parting company.

They meet to argue over their IBF and IBO light heavyweight belts at St Pete Times Forum, Tampa.

Tarver who came in at just under 174 pounds gave a cut-throat gesture at the weigh-in...a tasteless moment the travelling fans hope will return to haunt him on Saturday night.

Woods said he is in the shape of his life to beat Tarver, a big-punching southpaw.

His game-plan is to pressure the older man over 12-gruelling rounds in front of 10,000 fans, ring-side, and millions of others on Showtime and Setanta Sports 1.

Woods, from Ridgeway, will enter the ring to the Jam tune "Underground."
