Jelena Jankovic romped into the third round at Wimbledon with a 6-1 6-3 win over Spain’s Carla Suarez Navarro on Thursday.

A day after her fellow Serb Ana Ivanovic came within a point of being knocked out, Jankovic made sure she avoided any such drama and produced an efficient victory over the 19-year-old Wimbledon debutante.

The second seed will next face Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki as she bids to reach the last 16 for the third year running.
