Ipswich 1-4 Wigan

Wigan's Premier League class shone through as they cruised through to the Carling Cup fourth round but not before Ipswich gave them a real test.

The home side bossed possession in the first half but could not make the visitors pay and Lee Cattermole duly punished them in the 51st minute.

Ipswich equalised through Jonathan Walters volley but Olivier Kapo's soon drilled Wigan back into the lead.

Paul Scharner flicked in a third before Henri Camara added a last-gasp fourth.
