Johnson Wagner kept his cool to lift the Shell Houston Open by two shots on Sunday evening. Texan Wagner had started the day with a one-shot lead from Chad Campbell - and although he could only finish with a one-under par final round, it was enough to secure the title. The 28-year-old's final round was highly erratic, though, with four birdies and three bogeys. And Wagner was left celebrating news that the win will see him qualified for the Masters at Augusta. "This is unbelievable. I can't even put it into words. I can't believe I'm going to Augusta next week.," he said. "This has been a long time coming and a dream come true. "I couldn't be happier right now. I expect good things. I just have to keep doing good things. I can't believe I'm going to Augusta. It's a dream come true." Campbell failed to make any in-rods into Wagner's lead, with his level-par round only enough to see him share second with Geoff Ogilvy. The Australian had made a superb charge through the field - including five birdies and a bogey - but his four-under par was not enough to halt Wagner. There was also some heavy scoring from Billy Mayfair and Fred Couples, with the duo both carding six-under at the Redstone course for a share of fourth. The round of the day, though, went to Pat Perez, who leapt from 41st in the rankings to joint-eighth with his eight-under 64. Padraig Harrington's final round of 68 was enough to see the Irishman finish on five-under and level with Jose Maria Olazabel as the leading European.
