Creachadoir gave the Godolphin operation their first Group One victory of the season as he powered home in the Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on Saturday afternoon. Frankie Dettori was away well on the favourite but Rob Roy made the running. The leader tracked across to the stands-side rails but when he tried to kick on there was nothing there. Creachadoir hit the front with two furlongs to run and held off challenges from Phoenix Tower and the fast finishing Tariq, with Cesare fourth. Dettori said the race went to plan, although he added that Creachadoir "was idling a little bit in front". |

"His form is rock-solid and he is a force to be reckoned with this year," he added.
