Chuck Liddell has warned former Olympic champion Kurt Angle over his constant claims that he will step into the Octagon. Angle, a former World Wrestling Entertainment champion, has regularly talked himself up when it comes to entering the world of MMA since leaving the WWE and joining TNA Wrestling, who it is understood would allow him to also train for MMA fights alongside his current schedule. And as recently as this Tuesday, Angle claimed that he had put pen-to-paper on a deal with an MMA promotion to fight Randy Couture. Speaking to Between the Ropes in Florida, Angle said: "Finally, I find an organization - and I can’t tell you who it is right now - but I signed, we’re both signed on to do it, me and Randy Couture. |

"It’s probably going to happen in late-summer, early-fall. I’m starting my training this week coming up."
But Angle, who rejected the opportunity to join fellow-former WWE champion Brock Lesnar in the UFC after turning down a year-long deal from UFC president Dana White, has come in for a strong dressing down from Liddell.
Speaking to Setanta Sports News, Liddell rubbished Angle's claims and said: "He talks about it all the time, but he hasn’t made any movements towards doing it, to my knowledge he hasn’t done any training or cross-training.
"If he’s just gonna come in and wrestle, he’s going to get beat, you can’t just be a one-dimensional fighter in The UFC.
"I don’t care how good you are, it’s not gonna work."
