Tuesday's meeting at Chepstow will go ahead as planned after a scheduled 8am inspection was not deemed necessary.

Only four millimetres of rain fell at the track overnight leaving the going soft but fit for racing.

"That fell at about 12.30am," said clerk of the course Tim Long. "It took it well really so there is no need for any inspection.

"We have a small chance of a shower this afternoon but are expecting some bright spells.

"Because we had some standing water near the rail yesterday we moved the stalls to the far rail but as that has now cleared we have moved the stalls back as advertised to the stands rail."
