Royal Ascot regular Takeover Target battled to victory in the KrisFlyer International Sprint at Kranji, Singapore.

Ridden by Jay Ford, the nine-year-old held off fellow Australian raider Magnus.

The race was run in a record time and represented Australia-trained Takeover Target's sixth success at Group One level.

NSW trainer Joe Janiak will now aim the horse at the King's Stand Stakes and Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
