England seamer Ryan Sidebottom will reject lucrative offers from the Indian Premier League in order to prolong his international career.

The Nottinghamshire left-armer has enjoyed a remarkable return to the England team in the last 12 months, having previously made only one Test appearance back in 2001.

Many of his international team-mates have expressed a desire to take advantage of the huge amounts of money available in the sub-continent's leading Twenty20 competition but the 30-year-old is content with his current situation.

"As for the IPL, I want to play Test cricket and play for England," said Sidebottom. "It means a lot more than a ton of cash."
