Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz has played down speculation that he is seeking a move away from Ewood Park.

Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the Paraguay international, who scored 23 goals last season for Rovers.

But the 26-year-old says he is ready to continue his career at Ewood Park.

"A lot of people said my transfer to a bigger club was about to happen, but I live in the present and I'm focused on Blackburn," he told Paravision TV.

"I'm happy for the good season that I had and the important goals that I scored.

"I am motivated by the other teams' interest, but if I am not transferred then I want to have the best possible season at Blackburn."
