Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele is due to undergo a medical at Paris St Germain on Saturday, according to reports.

Sky Sports News reported late on Friday that the former Real Madrid midfielder's time at Stamford Bridge could come to a close this weekend after almost 200 appearances for the Blues.

35-year-old Makelele has been strongly linked with a move to the Parc des Princes in recent weeks, with PSG coach Paul Le Guen confirming his interest.

Le Guen claimed earlier this month that he had held talks with the former France international and the interest appears to have gathered pace.
