Liverpool return to league action on Sunday following their Champions League heroics in midweek. The Reds entertain Blackburn Rovers, hoping to cement their place in fourth position as they aim to see off rivals Everton in the race to claim the lucrative spot in next season's Champions League. Blackburn still harbour hopes of qualifying for Europe despite lying nine points being fifth-place Everton. Reds boss Rafa Benitez is expected to shuffle his pack for the visit of Mark Hughes's Rovers after their gruelling trilogy against Arsenal. Javier Mascherano is missing for the hosts after failing in a bid to have his extended suspension cut. Liverpool still have Daniel Agger (knee), Harry Kewell (hamstring) and Jermaine Pennant (hamstring) sidelined Lucas Leviva will replace Mascherano in midfield alongside Xabi Alonso. Peter Crouch will be hoping to keep his place in the side after starting the last two games. Jamie Carragher could revert to centre back with Steve Finnan or Alvaro Arbeloa coming in at full-back. Blackburn are sweating over the fitness of Jason Roberts as he struggles to shake off a groin problem. Roberts is set to undergo a late fitness test, but if he misses out Benni McCarthy will partner Roque Santa Cruz in attack. David Dunn is doubtful for Rovers after he missed last weekend's draw with Tottenham because of a knee injury. Steven Reid should be fit to play despite being substituted late on against Spurs with cramp.
