Cowboys +3, 37 at Broncos, 9 pm Eastern Saturday
Dallas, the favorites to win the NFC this season, lost at San Diego last Saturday 31-17 as three-point road underdogs. Meanwhile Denver, which has missed the playoffs the last two seasons, opened this preseason with a 19-16 loss at Houston last Saturday, pushing the spread as three-point road dogs. In their first exhibition season under coach Wade Phillips last year, the Cowboys went 2-2 both straight up and against the spread. On the other sidelines, the Broncos have gone 9-3 SU and 7-5 ATS in their last three preseasons under long-time coach Mike Shanahan. These two teams met during the exhibition season last year, with Dallas coming away with a 31-20 win, outrushing Denver 190-35. The Super Bowl champion Giants opened this year with a 13-10 defeat in Detroit last Thursday, pushing the line as three-point dogs. In its three preseasons under coach Romeo Crennel, Cleveland is 8-4 straight up and 9-3 against the spread. Meanwhile in four exhibition seasons under coach Tom Coughlin, New York is 9-7 both SU and ATS.
