Rafael Nadal demolished unseeded German Denis Gremelmayr 6-0 6-1 to set up a Barcelona Open final against fellow Spaniard David Ferrer. World number two and three-time Barcelona champion Nadal was far too strong for the 85th-ranked Gremelmayr, racing to victory in 50 minutes. Nadal has now won 19 consecutive matches in Barcelona and will go for his fourth straight title on Sunday. The other semi-final saw Ferrer beat Stanislas Wawrinka 7-6 (10-8) 6-3. Nadal and Ferrer have met eight times, with Nadal having won five times including in the semi-finals in Monte Carlo last week. |
