Andy Murray has been given a bye through to the second round of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.

The British number one, seeded 13th for the tournament, will face either Simon Gilles or Mario Ancic in his opening match.

Murray could then meet Juan Monaco in the following round while Nikolay Davydenko and Rafael Nadal are also in his half of the draw.
