Welcome to our live coverage of WWE's WrestleMania 24 PPV, which airs live at 12midnight GMT (7pm Eastern for those of you logging on in the United States).

The pre-show battle royal takes place at around 11.30pm GMT and we'll have full coverage of that also.

Ahead of that, we'll be bringing you updates from inside the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida, so be sure to refresh this page regularly over the next few hours for the very latest news and results from WWE's biggest show of the year.

You can also bet on WrestleMania 24 (yes, with real money!) with OddsMaker.com and upon signing up if you enter the promo code AFF20PWM24, you'll get a free 20% deposit bonus with up to $200 in free bets available.

Not sure who to back? We've got a full WrestleMania 24 betting preview online as well!

A few pre-show notes from Orlando:

They've had some rain throughout the afternoon. As I write this (10.50pm GMT - And apparently there are some technical problems with the website since the clocks went forward in the UK last night so ensure you refresh this page rather than looking at the time on the top of the page!), it is currently sunny in Orlando.

If it does rain during the show, there is no chance of anybody getting wet other than the fans. If you've not seen any pictures of the setup yet, you're going to be amazed when you do see them.

Rather than using the tradition colour scheme for the ring ropes, WWE have gone with a snazzy shade of orange. There's also a boat set up on the lake behind the Citrus Bowl where it's expected tens of thousands of dollars worth of pyro will be set off at some point.

Matt Hardy has been hinting at returning at tonight's show. There has been some talk of having an eighth entrant in the Money in the Bank ladder match to replace Jeff Hardy, but whether that happens or not remains to be seen. It would make sense of course, as it allows Hardy to get back into his feud with MVP. Time will tell.

The entire WWE roster is backstage with the exception of Robbie McAllister, who WWE sent home on Friday after he appeared on camera sat in the crowd at TNA's Impact broadcast on Thursday night. There's been a lot of discussion amongst the wrestlers (both in WWE and TNA) about that situation. All wrestlers on all three brands will be at Raw tomorrow night, with the exception of McAllister.

Just some more on the setup, which if you're watching while stopping by here throughout the night you'll see in less than an hour from now, the entire stage is made to look like a giant WWE-themed cruise ship. It looks very impressive, and I'm sure with this being the first WrestleMania broadcast in HD, WWE will have wanted to push the boat out (stop with the groans!).

For the sake of avoiding unneccessary embarrassment, I'll refrain from naming the person who just emailed in the following: 'Do you think WWE will have The Great Khali interfere in Big Show's match to help him beat Floyd Mayweather?' If that happens, I'm giving up on wrestling forever. Luckily, it won't happen.

Just a reminder for those following along on the betting side of things, the pre-PPV battle royal takes place at 11.30pm GMT so be quick if you're looking to get involved there.

We're just getting started with the pre-show. The 24-man Battle Royal is just getting started.

Tazz and Joey Styles are calling the battle royal. The crowd appear to be into it, and Kane is really over with the fans.

There was an awesome spot where Jamie Noble was thrown to the outside, but he landed on wrestlers rather than the floor. He walked over them and got back into the ring only to be elimiated. Khali was taken out with about six men left.

Final three were Kane, Mark Henry and Snitsky. Crowd firmly behind Kane. The heels double teamed him before Henry eliminated Snitsky. And then there were two. Henry tried to press slam Kane over the top, but it was blocked, and Kane gave Henry a big boot sending him over the top.

Kane faces Chavo Guerrero for the ECW Title later tonight. We're off to a good start in our WrestleMania 24 betting as well!

Decent enough match, but short at around 10 minutes. Quite amazing how WWE thought they couldn't fit that into a four-hour show.

The set does look impressive, and definitely makes it seem a big occasion.

Quick notes before we get into the pay-per-view itself:

Steve Austin is at the Citrus Bowl, but we're not sure if he'll be appearing on-screen at all.

The Rock is not backstage. He was scheduled to be in California today I believe so if he is involved at all tonight (and I doubt very much he is), they've done a great job of keeping it quiet.

It's showtime. Opening videos and such like are about to start. WWE have splashed out on having fighter jets fly by to open the show which made for a really cool visual.

The set actually looks like a giant high-rise building. It must be a good 100ft or so high and looks stunning. As does Lilian Garcia.

JBL vs. Finlay in a Belfast Brawl opens the show. Hornswoggle came out with Finlay which got a decent pop. Total brawl of a match as you'd expect. Weapons in from the opening bell and it was like watching a hardcore match from back in the Attitude era. Finlay dived through the ropes to the outside only to get hit with a trashcan lid in mid-air which was impressive. JBL picked up the win after his Clothesline from Hell. Decent opener which the crowd were totally into.

We're two for two in the betting as well!

Kim Kardashian is doing backstage interviews. She's awful. Mr. Kennedy interrupted her thankfully.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match is up next. Interesting running order so far. I have to say, visually this all looks very impressive, especially with the light fading in Orlando. If you want an idea of whether or not they're going to try and steal the show here, in the opening minute, they did a spot where John Morrison grabbed hold of a ladder, carried it to the top rope and hit a moonsault on to four guys on the outside. Crazy.

As expected, some crazy spots and bumps throughout. Benjamin took a fall off the top of a ladder onto a ladder on the outside which took him out of the match. Jericho locked Morrison in a cool submission hold on top of a ladder. Carlito hit Jericho with a backstabber off the ladder. Just some very innovative stuff happening from start to finish and the crowd ate it all up.

As we thought may happen, Matt Hardy made his return. MVP was ready to grab the briefcase from the top of the ladder, only for Hardy to run in through the crowd. He hit a Twist of Fate off the top of the ladder which got a monster pop before leaving.

Jericho and Punk climbed the ladder for the finish. Jericho got locked up in a Tree of Woe on the ladder, and Punk picked up the win. Quite the surprise, but it certainly seems like WWE are ready to take Punk to the next level...unless he cashes in for the ECW title tonight! Really good match anyway.

Highlights from last night's Hall of Fame ceremony are being shown.

Hello to those of you who were hoping to watch WrestleMania 24 in the UK via Virgin Media tonight. It appears that for the second year in a row, Virgin have screwed up and have lost their live feed somehow.

Todd Grisham is interviewing Snoop Dogg. Grish is such a nerd. Dogg is with Festus. Santino interrupted and called Dogg 'Snoopy the Dogg'. Snoop Dogg rang a bell which woke Festus up, and he chased off Santino. Mick Foley appeared, said some things ending in izzle and pulled out a sock before saying 'Have a nice dizzle!' Pretty funny segment.

Batista vs. Umaga is up next. Teddy Long and William Regal are introducing them, while Michael Cole and The King are calling the match. Tons of pyro and fireworks for Batista since it's dark now.

Pretty dull match in all honesty. They brawled for most of it, but with the stuff we've seen so far, they had to keep it relatively simple I suppose to avoid burning out the crowd. Umaga actually had some of the crowd behind him. Batista won after a powerbomb which wasn't particular smooth, and he appeared to hurt his back executing it. Really disappointing match that wouldn't have looked out of place on a house show.

Mayweather and his posse were shown backstage. Jim Ross said Money "may know something we don't know".

We're 3-1 up in our betting predictions so far!

Chavo Guerrero vs. Kane for the ECW title is up next. Armando is doing ring introductions. Chavo made his entrance. Kane then made his entrance, but he sneaked into the ring from behind as Chavo was looking up the aisle. Opening bell rang, chokeslam, 1, 2, 3. Your winner, Kane in a matter of seconds. I suppose it makes sense to have a big guy destroy a small guy ahead of Mayweather vs. Big Show!

Raven Symone introduced 50 kids from Make A Wish who were sat ringside. I have no idea who Raven is, but she seemed excited to be there, as did the kids.

Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels is up next. They're showing a lengthy video package. Flair was asked backstage what his gameplan was. He said it was 'To be the man'. This one should get some decent time. Flair has the most Stylin' n Profilin' robe you'll ever see and got a huge fireworks display for an entrance. Awesome stuff. The amount of Flair signs around ringside is incredible, and already you can sense the emotion. Charles Robinson is referee, which you have to assume was something Flair wanted given their history back to WCW.

Flair got busted open early after a HBK slap to the face cut his mouth open. They worked quite snug with chops early on before HBK hit a moonsault to the outside which missed Flair. That was planned, but Michaels really did a number on himself. He was to land on the announce table but his stomach landed on the edge of the table, and he appeared to seriously wind himself (and quite possibly do more damage to his ribs).

They slowed the pace down for a while with Flair in control. Michaels then backdropped him over the top rope to the outside and followed it up with a moonsault off the top rope to the outside.

Michaels made his comeback and hit his spots preparing building up to his superkick. The crowd are understandably against him. He went to hit the superkick but paused as Flair stood looking at him. Flair sucked him in and locked in the figure four while Michaels eventually reversed. Crowd is electric, and even though with it being outside you lose some of the heat, it's a really lively crowd.

They hit a series of near falls before Michaels missed a kick to the head and Flair locked in the figure four once again. Michaels eventually grabbed the ropes then nailed Flair with the superkick which got a huge gasp-type reaction. Flair kicked out on two.

Michaels set up for another superkick but Flair ended up connecting with a mule kick. Michaels locked in his reverse figure-four type move but Flair escaped by reaching for the ropes.

They went back and forth with a series of chops before Michaels hit another superkick out of nowhere. He set up for another but paused. He mouthed "I'm sorry, I love you" before connecting with it, and making the cover. Michaels wins, and Flair's career comes to an end.

Michaels left to his music, before Flair got to his feet and broke down in tears as the entire Citrus Bowl rose to their feet. Very moving. Flair didn't speak, or milk it. He just soaked up the applause, kissed his family at ringside, and walked to the back. It's the end of an era.

Edge cut a great promo backstage saying he'd end Undertaker's streak tonight before we got a ton of pyro to take us into the second half of the pay-per-view.

Bunnymania is up next. Only Santino can stop this being a trainwreck. Snoop Dogg came to the ring in a custom golf-cart-cum-car kind of thing, with all the Divas following behind him. The match here is of course Ashley & Maria vs. Beth Phoenix & Melina and nobody could care less about Team Playboy. Santino is with their opponents, and is wearing a feather boa. OK.

The match, well, it sucked from bell to bell. The lights went out half way through which was a blessing in disguise really. I guess even the generator decided to take a bathroom break. Melina and Beth worked hard but got nothing back. Santino interfered which led to him being decked by Jerry Lawler before Beth covered Maria and made the pin.

After the match, Santino was ready to attack Maria, but Snoop Dogg made the save and clotheslined him. Santino left, Snoop Dogg kissed Maria, and that was that.

Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. John Cena is up next. It's no DQ. Big surprise there really. Either Undertaker or Mayweather main event, and if it's Mayweather, we may well get the "major swerve" we discussed in our preview earlier. Cena's entrance was first, and was amazing. He had a band playing his entrance music which looked great. Crowd are mixed for him, as expected. Big pop for Triple H, heat for Orton.

HHH and Orton worked most of the opening stages of the match after taking Cena out. Cena got back into the match to try and lift both opponents up for an FU but it didn't work. Orton took control of the match as the dualling pro/anti Cena chants started up.

Orton hit a double DDT for a two count on Cena. He then went for an RKO but Cena threw Orton on top of Triple H which looked impressive. Cena tried for the STFU on Orton but he escaped and left the ring.

The match went back to being Orton and Hunter, with Hunter on top this time until Orton hit an RKO out of nowhere. Cena then locked Orton in the STFU in the middle of the ring. Orton went to tap but Triple H blocked his hand from hitting the canvas. Hunter took Cena out of the equation again and locked in a modified figure-four on Orton. Cena returned to the ring and tossed Hunter over the top rope before locking the STFU in on Orton again.

I just noticed some people front row wearing 'I hate Cena' t-shirts.

Hunter tried to break up the STFU again but he couldn't, so Hunter locked in the crossface on Cena. I still don't like seeing that hold. Cena grabbed the ropes which drew huge boos from the crowd.

Cena and Hunter went at it, with Cena coming out on top and hitting the five-knuckle shuffle. Triple H blocked an FU attempt and attempted a pedigree which Cena blocked. Hunter then hit a spinebuster and after again blocking an FU attempt hit Cena with the pedigree. He made the cover but Orton broke it up with a running kick to the head. With Cena still down, Orton made the cover and pinned him to pick up the win and retain the WWE title. Major surprise in my books. I said in the preview that the only way I saw Orton retaining is if the match didn't go on last, but even so. Really good match.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Big Show is up next. They aired a lengthy video package before introductions. It's "anything goes" with win coming by pinfall, submission or KO. Money was thrown around the arena as Mayweather made his introduction, flanked by his entire posse.

Mayweather's wearing gloves, which they said earlier in the week wouldn't be happening. He ducked out the way of Show to start off before connecting with some body shots. Certainly looks like it's wrestler vs. boxer with the way they're doing it.

Mayweather was acting all cocky, and one of his posse got onto the apron with a towel, so Big Show decked him and chopped him in the corner. Mayweather tried to punch Show but he caught the punch and took Floyd down, who backed off. Show went for a chokeslam on the top rope but Mayweather escaped and jumped on Show's back, chooking him out. Show eventually went down to one knee but fought back to his feet, took Mayweather down, and stomped on his hand.

Show then chopped Mayweather in the corner, which the crowd went nuts for as his posee complained. The crowd chanted 'One More Time' but Show instead chose to stand on Mayweather.

Mayweather got back up and hit a kick to the stomach, but then walked into a side slam. The crowd is popping every time Show (who looks to be having tons of fun) connects with an impact move. Mayweather's people pulled him out of the ring and headed to the back which the crowd booed like crazy. Show followed them and started to take the posse out one by one before grabbing Mayweather and dragging him back to the ring. Mayweather's facials are awesome and he's selling pretty well.

Back in the ring, Show went for a chokeslam, but one of the posse interrupted. He got a chokeslam instead. Mayweather then nailed Show with a ton of chair shots to the body and head before taking off his gloves. He grabbed a chain and wrapped it around his fist before nailing Big Show. Crowd are booing like crazy. Show couldn't beat the ten count, and Mayweather wins via KO. Based on how they played it - and it really was much better than I expected - I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather's involvement with WWE continues for a while longer.

WrestleMania 25 was advertised. April 5, 2009 in Houston, Texas.

Attendance was announced at over 74,635 - an attendance record. WWE have also just put out a press release announcing tonight's show is grossed more than $5.85 million in ticket sales, making it the highest grossing live event in WWE history and in the history of the Citrus Bowl.

Edge vs. The Undertaker is the main event and is up next. Unbelieveable entrance for Undertaker which looked very impressive. Vickie Guerrero kissed Edge before he made his way to the ring. Slow back and forth start to the match, with the crowd relatively quiet as well.  Things picked up when Undertaker dived over the top rope to the outside. They went back to the outside a little later with Edge in control. He side suplexed Undertaker on to the guardrail and into the crowd before rolling him back into the ring for the two count.

Edge stayed in control for several more minutes before they slugged it out with punches. Crowd totally behind 'Taker. He hit Snake Eyes and went for the big boot but Edge hit a dropkick. 'Taker caught Edge coming off the top rope and tried for a chokeslam but Edge blocked it and hit a DDT. Edge then went for the spear but ran into a knee. 'Taker hit a chokeslam but Edge kicked out on two.

They went to the top rope. Edge hit a superplex and got a two count. 'Taker went for the Last Ride but Edge countered and hit a neckbreaker. 'Taker fought back and connected with the Last Ride but Edge kicked out of the cover. 'Taker went for the Tombstone but Edge countered again.

Taker connected with a boot the face then hit Old School. He charged at Edge looking for a boot to the face but Edge moved and 'Taker hit the referee. Edge then laid 'Taker out and stood over him, talking some trash. 'Taker grabbed him by the throat, but Edge kicked him square between the legs.

Edge went to the outside and grabbed a TV camera which he measured 'Taker with. Edge did 'Taker's cut-throat gesture and attempted a tombstone, but 'Taker reversed it and connected with his own. Charles Robinson sprinted in as the second referee with a run that the Ultimate Warrior would have been proud of in his prime. Edge kicked out on two though.

The Edgeheads hit the ring but Taker took them both out, but he turned round and walked into a spear. Again though he kicked out on two. Edge hit the spear again but as he went for the cover 'Taker locked in his triangle choke (well, kind of) finisher. Crowd went crazy as Edge tapped out. New Champion, The Undertaker. Really good second half to the match, and the ending was excellent.

The lights faded and 'Taker stood in the centre of the ring as the show closed with a stack of pyro and fireworks.

For those who followed us in on the betting, by my maths a $400 outlay returned a profit of around $450 tonight. Not bad at all.
