Leicester and Leeds got their campaigns off to winning starts, while Oldham produced a superb comeback to sink Millwall.

Elsewhere, Colchester began life back in League One in the worst possible fashion by going down 4-2 at Hartlepool, while Swindon got their season off to a flying start with a 3-1 success over promotion hopefuls Tranmere.

Leicester playing in League One for the first time in their history got their promotion bid off to the best possible start with a 2-0 win over new boys MK Dons.

Matty Fryatt was the hero for Nigel Pearson's side with both goals to ensure Roberto Di Matteo began life as MK Dons manager with a defeat.

Andrew Williams pulled a goal back in the closing stages, but it was too little too late for the home side.

Yeovil and Walsall shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw at Huish Park.

Gavin Tomlin gave Yeovil the lead after ten minutes, but Jabo Ibehre's equaliser 13 minutes from time ensured parity.
