Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has confirmed the club's interest in Robinho.

But he denied that Chelsea have made an offer for AC Milan star Kaka, responding to claims made by Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani.

Galliani was reported in the Italian press over the weekend as saying the Rossoneri had rejected a bid from Chelsea, while Kaka's representative fuelled speculation by claiming the 26-year-old would be interested in a move to Stamford Bridge.

But shortly after arriving in China ahead of Chelsea's meeting with Chinese Super League outfit Guangzhou Pharmaceutical on Wednesday, Kenyon said: "There was no offer made. I have read the same articles.

"They have made it clear that he is not for sale and we will make it clear we have not made an offer.

"There is no reason to negotiate over something they don't want to do and we have not made an offer."

But Kenyon appears to be more confident over Chelsea's on-going negotiations with Real Madrid over striker Robinho, who has already stated his desire to join former Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari at Stamford Bridge.

"It is well noted we have shown interest," Kenyon added.

"We have had discussions with Madrid over it and they are ongoing. The window is still open and we are still talking to Madrid."

Robinho's agent, Wagner Riberio has confirmed the player has told Real Madrid he wants to leave the Spanish capital.

"Robinho told Real's sporting director Pedrag Mijatovic that Scolari had invited him to play for Chelsea," Riberio told The Sun.

"When Scolari calls it is a big honour for the player and Robinho admires him very much.

"Robinho hopes this can now all be worked out. Scolari is the man he wants to play for."

Riberio claims Robinho became unsettled at Real after being mooted as a possible player in a part exchange deal for Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo.

"The situation about Ronaldo started this," added Riberio. "He was very unhappy."
