Jankovic knocked out in fourth round at Wimbledon @ Monday June 30

Second-seeded Jelena Jankovic has been ousted by Tamarine Tanasugarn in the fourth round at Wimbledon.

Playing with her left knee heavily strapped up, Jankovic lost 6-3, 6-2 to 60th-ranked Tanasugarn on Court 18 on Monday.

She also was treated for a lower back injury during the match.

It is the first time the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam in the open era haven’t featured one of the top three seeds. Ana Ivanovic and Maria Sharapova were ousted last week.
