Hoggard left out as England unchanged for first Test @ Wednesday 14 May 2008, 11:56 AM

England have named an unchanged team for the first Test against New Zealand at Lord's which starts on Thursday.

The selectors have instead kept faith with the players who won the third Test in Napier in March to seal a 2-1 series victory.

That means James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Ryan Sidebottom will lead the pace attack, with Monty Panesar the spinner.

Hoggard was recalled to the squad after being dropped in New Zealand.

Teams:

England: Michael Vaughan (capt), Alastair Cook, Andrew Strauss, Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Paul Collingwood, Tim Ambrose (wkt), Stuart Broad, Ryan Sidebottom, Monty Panesar, James Anderson.

New Zealand (from): Aaron Redmond, Jamie How, James Marshall, Ross Taylor, Brendon McCullum (wkt), Daniel Flynn, Jacob Oram, Daniel Vettori (capt), Kyle Mills, Tim Southee, Chris Martin.
