Clerk of the course Andrew Tulloch has left the going unchanged ahead of Saturday's John's Smith's Grand National.

After just 1mm of rain fell overnight, the official going remains good on the Mildmay and Hurdle courses, good to soft, good in places on the National course.

"Wehave left the going unchanged overnight," Tulloch said. "We have moved all the bends and the running lines three to four yards in onto un-raced ground on the hurdle course, and we have moved the home bend at the National start."

The forecast for Saturday is for sunshine in the morning, with the possibility of light rain into the afternoon.

"We had 1mm of rain overnight," Tulloch added. "The forecast is for it to get brighter mid-morning with some light showers this afternoon and the possibility for some sleet to come in the evening, once racing has finished."
