Sergio Garcia wants to take both his caddies to next month's Ryder Cup, the Spaniard said on Friday.

The world number four, who alternates between Briton Billy Foster and South African Glen Murray during the season, told reporters at the Barclays Classic he had spoken to Europe's captain Nick Faldo about the issue.

"I talked to Nick about a couple of months ago and said, 'If I manage to make the Ryder Cup team I'd love to bring both caddies'," said Garcia after a second-round 67 earned a six-under tally of 136.

"He said he didn't think that was going to be a problem."

The 28-year-old Garcia, who is guaranteed a place in the team, said there would be two distinct roles for his bag men.

"Glen, I've done very well with him and he's the one who is going to caddie for me at the Ryder Cup," said Garcia.

"But Billy is almost the Ryder Cup itself. He wouldn't be caddying for me but the atmosphere he brings to the team ... it feels like if he's not there, there's going to be something missing.

"(Billy) will be helping the caddies and making sure everything is right, and things like that."

Foster joined Garcia after more than a decade working with Darren Clarke, including five Ryder Cups.

The Cup match against United States takes place at Valhalla, Kentucky from Sept. 19-21.
