Rio Ferdinand will travel to Croatia with the rest of the England squad and is set to return for Wednesday night's World Cup qualifier in Zagreb.

Ferdinand missed Saturday's opening qualifier with Andorra because of a neck injury.

But after being put through his paces by England's medical team on Monday, he trained with the rest of the squad at their Spanish base ahead of their departure for the Croatian capital.

Ferdinand will likely start alongside captain John Terry at the heart of the defence.
