Faldo left with dilemna as Europeans struggle in New Jersey @ Saturday August 23

Paul Casey ended his second round where he started it on five under par and Padraig Harrington missed the cut at The Barclays tournament in New Jersey.

Casey, who hit an opening 66, bogeyed the last two to end the day five behind Steve Stricker, who hit a 64.

Harrington, winner of the last two majors, missed the cut as he ended the day three over par while Sergio Garcia joined Casey on five under.

Overnight leader Hunter Mahan is three shots behind Stricker on seven under.

Ian Poulter, who had hoped for a strong showing to sneak into Europe's 10 automatic Ryder Cup places, hit a second round 72 to finish three over and also miss the cut.

That leaves Ryder Cup captain with Poulter, Casey and Ryder Cup veterans Darren Clarke and Colin Montgomerie all in contention for the two wildcard spots.
