The future of Formula One minnows Super Aguri appears to have been secured for the 2008 season after they agreed a takeover deal with Magma Group. But the Japanese team revealed on Tuesday that they have reached agreement to be taken over by Magma Group - an automotive solutions company based in the UK. Honda have also signed up to supply engines and technical support, meaning drivers Takuma Sato and Brit Anthony Davidson can take their place on the grid for this weekend's opening race in Australia. Davidson said: "I'm really looking forward to my second season with the Super Aguri and to building on what we achieved last year. "The testing we have been able to do has gone well, and we are continuing to make improvements to the car.
"I've concentrated on my training and preparation over the winter - and I'm fully motivated for the challenges that this year will bring." |
