Everton face being without Victor Anichebe in August after he was called up to the Nigerian Olympic squad.

The striker is in a 26-man provisional squad and will leave for a training camp in South Korea on Tuesday.

There the squad will be cut to the 22 that will compete in the Games at Beijing, with Nigeria's first match against Netherlands on August 7.

If Nigeria make the final on August 23, Anichebe could miss the first two games of the new Premier League season.
