Having lost to their fierce rivals Germany, compounded by the fact that a Polish bloke scored the two goals and their captain walked off injured, you could say Poland's European Championships haven't got off to a great start.

Then again, boss Leo Beenhakker is one of those 'the glass is half full' people.

Also, he probably remembered that Austria were their next opponents and that would make any manager smile.

"Everybody was upset about the result and not happy, but we are still in the tournament and that's what it's all about," the Dutchman said.

Though the co-hosts were not terrible against Croatia, the Polish should dispose of them handily.
