Donald suffers Ryder Cup setback @ Monday June 23

Luke Donald's hopes of making it into the European team for the Ryder Cup have suffered a setback after he pulled out of this week's French Open.

The world No.18 was forced to pull out of the US Open with just four holes left to play at Torrey Pines having damaged his left wrist.

However, despite needing to make up ground in the race to be an automatic pick for Nick Faldo's side Donald has decided to the rest the injury.

Donald also missed the BMW International in Munich as a result of the problem alongside Ian Poulter, however his fellow countryman remains on the entry list for Paris.
