Frankie Dettori on 8-1 chance Conduit eclipsed favourite Frozen Fire to land the St Leger at Doncaster on Saturday afternoon.

It is a first victory after 25 previous attempts to capture the coveted race for trainer Sir Michael Stoute, but a fifth success for Dettori.

Unsung Heroine, a 100-1 chance when the betting opened in June, was second at 14-1 in only her third career start, with 11-4 shot Look Here third.
