Aston Villa 1-0 QPR

Championship side QPR dumped Aston Villa out of the Carling Cup on Wednesday thanks to a second half header from Damion Stewart.

Daniel Parejo - on loan from Real Madrid - floated the ball in on 58 minutes, leaving Stewart to nod in.

Villa had Gareth Barry as captain and rested six players from their weekend win, and struggled in front of goal.

Gabriel Agbonlahor and Wayne Routledge were sent on with 23 minutes left, but the London side held on for a fine win.
