Dan Henderson odds-on favourite to beat British fighter Michael Bisping at UFC 100

UFC 100 sees the culmination of the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter as opposing coaches Dan Henderson and the UK's own Michael "The Count" Bisping square off in the Octagon.

The American is hotly tipped to win the Las Vegas bout as he looks for a convincing victory in his quest for a rematch with Middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

British fighter Bisping is also looking to establish himself as a serious contender at Middleweight after dropping down from Light Heavyweight.

The bookies make Henderson the odds-on favourite and a best priced 4/9 with Coral, while Bisping is available at 21/10 with both Blue Square and Boylesports.

Do the bookies have it right? Quite possibly, but its worth remembering that Henderson has been impressive in the UFC - but more so at Light Heavyweight. At 185lbs he has a tendancy to look lethargic at times and he facing a fighter in Bisping who undeniably has better training partners.

After leaving the UFC for PRIDE, Henderson returned to Dana White's company in 2007, losing to Light Heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson. From there, Henderson was choked out by Anderson Silva in a title match to unify the PRIDE Welterweight and UFC Middleweight championships. But although he won his next two fights (those being a unanimous decision against newcomer Rousimar Palhares and a split decision win over Rich Franklin at Light Heavyweight), he failed to impress in either bout.

There's no doubting that Henderson has his strengths though. He is the better puncher of the two and Bisping's takedowns are no match for Henderson's power - and you can expect to see Henderson use that power to take Bisping to the ground at some stage during the fight.

But overall, Bisping is the better technical fighter and although it would be considered an upset, is more than capable of picking up the win at the UFC's landmark pay-per-view event.

Oddspreview.com prediction: Michael Bisping to win via unanimous decision.

Best betting prices (odds correct as of July 2):
Dan Henderson - 4/9 (Coral)
Michael Bisping - 21/10 (Blue Square, Boylesports)
