- 4 Jul 2010

Rafael Nadal is the odds-on favourite to win this afternoon's Wimbledon Men's Final when he takes on Tomas Berdych and it's hard to see the Spaniard being beaten

Nadal is a best price 3/10 to win another Grand Slam title this afternoon at bet365 (£200 free bet), while Berdych is available at 5/2 at time of writing to cause another upset at SW19.

Berdych used to have Nadal's number on tour with the Czech star rattling off three consecutive victories over the Spaniard in 2005-06. But since that time Nadal has not dropped a set against Berdych, let alone a match, and has won their last six meetings as well as winning the last 14 sets that the two have played.

Heading into the start of play at Wimbledon, Berdych 66/1 to win outright and was also our recommendation to win Roger Federer's quarter at 6/1. However, Berdych matches up so poorly against Rafa that it is hard to tip him to win the final when you are not even getting 3/1 for the match.

But if you backed him pre-tournament then you must be happy about the price you're getting on one match now, but anything other than a Nadal win this afternoon seems unlikely and Berdych backers from before the start of play at the All England club would be smart to lay him on Betfair (£25 free bet) to ensure you at least break even.
