Paul Nicholls treble - Big Buck’s, Zarkandar, Denman pays over 5/1!

- 7 Apr 2011

Paul Nicholls will be hoping that Big Buck’s, Zarkandar and Denman can secure him a quick Aintree hat-trick when the Grand National meeting kicks off this afternoon

The trainer saddles his three stable stars in the opening three races of this year’s meeting and despite the trio making quick reappearances after their sensational displays at the Cheltenham Festival, punters will be keen to land a treble and deal the bookies a hammer blow on day one of the Merseyside showpiece.

Blue Square make Big Buck’s a 4/7 shot in the Liverpool Hurdle and the unbeaten superstar heads to Liverpool with a perfect record at Cheltenham. He is incredibly difficult to oppose, as is stablemate Zarkandar who runs half an hour after the World Hurdle winner.

Zarkandar has established himself as the best of his generation over the smaller obstacles and after his incredible display in the Triumph Hurdle three weeks ago, he is sure to be popular at 10/11.

Nicholls will be hoping that Denman can make it three victories in quick succession when he lines up in the totesport Bowl and if the official ratings are anything to go by, it could be a walk in the park for ‘The Tank.’

The former Gold Cup winner has looked in fine fettle this season and if he can dust himself off and power his way around Aintree on Thursday he should be far too good at odds of 4/5.

Blue Square make Big Buck’s, Zarkandar and Denman all to win a tasty 5.75/1 treble and punters can get returns of £67.50 off a small £10 wager. It looks a fantastic bet and few would be surprised if the trio landed the odds and made it an unforgettable day for Nicholls and jockey Ruby Walsh.
