Manchester City are set to announce the arrival of striker Mario Balotelli from Inter Milan in the next 24 hours
Early this week, Inter president Massimo Moratti had confirmed that the 19-year-old was close to a move to the Premier League side for a fee of around £24million and it is believed that the young forward has agreed a five-year deal worth in excess of £60,000 a week.
Manchester City are at time of writing 5/1 to win the Premier League title and 1/2 for a top four finish with Victor Chandler, who are giving new customers £125 free when opening an account today
On Wednesday, Moratti told Sky Italia: "Everyone is right about Balotelli, he is a talent, who in my opinion, has yet to express himself 100%, but this talent, in this moment, doesn’t seem so indispensable.
"We have important offers and objectives of an economic character, so you make a sacrifice with the player who everyone wants, not with the one who you try to sell and no-one wants.
"Balotelli remains a great talent, but for us it’s almost an obligation to exit in this way. I definitely had a good relationship with him, then again I don’t know what he’ll say about that."
Balotelli's arrival at Eastlands will now free up the funds for Inter to land Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano, who is widely expected to join the Serie A giants this summer in a move that would see him reunited with former Reds boss Rafael Benitez.
