Rijkaard on Wednesday left his post as manager of Turkish side Galatasaray by mutual consent and was almost instantly made favourite to be named as the next manager of Liverpool ahead of Martin O'Neill, who had been leading the market for some time but is now out to 12/1 (Sky Bet).

Rijkaard has reportedly stated in the last 24 hours that he wants to manage a Premier League club next and with pressure piling on Hodgson after a poor start to the season, punters have raced to put their money on the Dutchman.
