After weeks of to-ing and fro-ing between Matt, One Direction and Rebecca Ferguson, the painter and decorator looks set to be the solid favourite to win the contest ahead of Saturday night's next live show.

William Hill make Matt their 11/8 favourite with Rebecca 9/4 second favourite.

One Direction, at one point as short as 13/8, at time of writing are out to 4/1.

The next act to be eliminated looks set to be either Wagner and Katie judging by the betting, with the public seemingly losing patience with the latter, who is the 11/10 favourite to go ahead of Wagner, who is 9/4.

Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly told Oddspreview: "Over the past few days, Matt has seen most of the betting support with multiple four figure bets on a daily basis and if the show were to end now, he would surely win.

"Things do not look too good for Katie, however, and she certainly looks like she will finally be off our screens come Sunday evening."
